Some Top Online Business English Sites

I want to point out some useful and interesting Business English sites on the internet that I have found and/or used.  The sites range from brick and mortar schools, through online schools, to sites with helpful information or exercises.  Below I have only listed five such sites, even though we all know that there are many more.

o   An organization that holds its teachers to high standards and as a result has high standards for its students

o   More known for having physical classrooms

o   This site provides a two paragraph audio file on current news events as well as a thorough lesson, complete with transcript and exercises

o   Has many lessons with audio files on its website

o   Very good resource for teachers and students

o   It has a library of lesson plans for use by teachers

o   There are many flashcard for different uses 

There are other websites that are useful in regard to Business English, but I have only picked these five because I was impressed by them, and I was limited by time and space.

 

Online ESL Courses

 

Online ESL courses are becoming more and more prevalent. For busy people they can be of better use than the more normal English Cram schools.

 

The things that English language students gain from online ESL courses are:

• Ease of access to an English course
• Easy to find a course through an internet search
• The course scheduling can be flexible
• Can get one to one courses
• Able to customized the English language training   

The ESL student can find general English courses on the internet or more specialized courses such as Business English. The courses can be even more specialized such as: English for Presentations; English Job Interviews; Business Writing; Resume Writing; etc.
